Blue (Dog) Collar Crime

It's hard being a dog.I was in big trouble last week. The cat told me I'd be sent away to a shelter for bad dogs. Liddy avoided me cause I was nothin but trouble. I'm just a baby and the rule is "if its on the floor or if I can reach it on a shelf that's not on the floor but is close to the floor.....then its mine to play with" Everybody knows that rule! So, that's all I did.
I was downstairs in mommy's craft room and I saw this tiny plastic bottle that would fit right in my mouth and be really fun to play with and it was on a really low shelf so I helpded myself and ran really fast upstairs so I could play with it.
How was I to know that it was royal blue craft paint and our carpet is taupe. It was really lotsa fun to bite on the bottle and watch this stuff splurt out onto the carpet. And so I played for a while and then went to bed with Granny. Next thing I know mommy comes stomping into the room and picks me up. Guess she was mad cause there was blue paint all over the taupe carpet and she knew it was me cause my beard and my front feet and maybe one of my back feet were tinged with royal blue paint. Mommy spent an hour trying to get the paint out of the carpet. She was really really really really mad at me and it wasnt even my fault. I'm the dog. I'm the baby and if you dont want me to play with stuff, then put it away.
Granny spent another hours scrubbin the carpet and the carpets are mostly clean now and the paint is wearing off my fur but the cat keeps telling me that any day now I'll be shipped off to the shelter.
But I know the cat tells me lies to make me ascairt so I hope that I'm not going to be sent away!
